About us

Chough Fire Safety Associates

The Cornish Chough is also known as a Fire Raven due to its long bright red beak and legs that in legend was thought to have been caused by taking smouldering sticks from fires. It was with this link in mind that a group of established Cornish fire and risk management companies have formed an associate company to share our knowledge and experience to enhance service provision in all fields of risk management. We are a new company made up of old heads with more than 100 years experience within the fire & risk management industry.

Our varied backgrounds include fire service safety officers, trainers, emergency planning and integrated risk management professionals. The collective businesses expanded gaining vast shared knowledge due to our close working relationships and we therefore decided to formalise the new company in 2014.

The Chough is not confined to the coast of Cornwall and neither are the services of Chough Fire Safety Associates. We provide services throughout the UK & Ireland.

From our facilities located at Victoria Business Centre just off the A30, we can provide bespoke fire/risk management courses including live fire training. Alternatively we can travel to clients’ locations to save travel and any staff downtime costs. We also have the facility to mix and match online with face-to-face training using our Internet based risk management system.
